Care, printing and image instructions
Care Instructions
Flags require care. They are exposed to wind and weather, which limits their durability. The color is water-based and fixed, but sunlight can cause it to fade. The fabric also suffers from sun exposure, which can lead to tearing and fraying.
Please do not wash the flag in a washing machine. Wash the flag by hand in cold water. Do not use acidic detergents or other chemical additives. If the flag is equipped with flame-retardant additives, note that it is a temporary coating. Therefore, the flag should not be washed. The flag should not be stored while damp. The effectiveness of the flame-retardant additives is also affected by sun exposure. Please check the effectiveness every 3 months. We are happy to offer a re-treatment upon request.
Print and Image Guidelines
High print quality can be ensured if the provided print data meets the following requirements:
Copyrights
- You fully own the copyright or usage rights for the design.
- You do not infringe on any third-party rights by using the design.
- You acknowledge that, in the event of a copyright infringement, Supporters will refer the rights holder with all claims to the client.
File Format
The following file formats are accepted for uploading your own images (max. 200 MB, max. 8-bit color depth/channel mode):
- JPG
- JPEG
- TIF
- TIFF
- EPS
Color Mode & Conversion
Create your print data in CMYK in the ISO Coated V2 200% (ECI) color profile.

If you cannot provide these values, we offer a color chart (by email) in which we go through the existing color values based on standardized color specifications.
We also handle the conversion of supplied print data from RGB mode to CMYK mode. Since many RGB colors lie outside the reproducible color space, this conversion may result in color accuracy loss. The color conversion assigns a similar, but not necessarily identical, new color to the original color value.
Printing on different substrates (fabric types, paper, foil) may also lead to variations in color gradients. Therefore, liability is excluded.
Additionally, print data with transparencies is not permitted!
Resolution
Resolution is a gauge for image quality in the printing process. The higher the resolution, the better the print quality. Please avoid interpolating (upscaling) images, as it does not lead to improved output results and may give a false sense of quality. Additionally, note that despite a high overall resolution, all graphic elements, especially lines, should not be too small or thin to ensure proper printing.
Furthermore, keep in mind that the quality of a photo changes with each edit and that the resolution of an image deteriorates if it is enlarged. This can lead to blurred or pixelated print images. If this is the case, reduce the size of the image or upload another image.
In principle, a camera with at least 12 megapixels is recommended, set to the highest image resolution (4,048 x 3,040 pixels).
Additionally, color perception can vary between screens due to different settings, and some screens tend to have a color cast, as the display is in RGB mode. Please note that what you see on the screen may not necessarily match the final print result.
Monitor Display
On a computer monitor, the display is in RGB mode. Due to different screen settings, color display may vary from monitor to monitor, with some screens even tending to show color cast. Please be aware that what you see on the screen may not necessarily match the final print result. Also, the monitor must be professionally calibrated and profiled for accurate color reproduction.
